The program is reserved exclusively for Public Safety purposes and is powered by Minnesota-based Citizen Observer.

Anyone with a cell phone can send an anonymous tip to the New Castle Police by texting the word NEWCPD followed by the tip information to 847411 (tip411).

Its 100% anonymous. Tip411 technology removes all identifying information before the Police Department see’s it so there’s no way to identify the sender.

Funding for the program came from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Emergencies and in-progress calls should still be reported by calling 911 or the New Castle Police Department’s non-emergency number: 914-238-4422.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
